What is LionShare?

Welcome to LionShare, software designed to encourage academic collaboration through a secure P2P file-sharing network. LionShare is different than the typical file-sharing network, since all users must log on with their university access accounts to access the network. LionShare is available for use by faculty, staff, and students on a variety of operating systems.

LionShare uses a variety of security technologies to ensure the identity of users sharing files and to provide features such as access control, which allows you to specify who can download a shared file. LionShare is a tool for the free exchange of academic, personal, and work-related materials. However, it is not intended for the sharing of unauthorized copyrighted materials such as commercial music and movies.
